Attend a site in Wolverhampton that has 18 solar panels, remove the lower 9 panels & fixings to give house owner access to his roof for felt & tile repairs.
We have recently completed a job for a well-known Solar panel maintenance company who have thousands of solar panel installations, they normally use traditional scaffolding to access their solar panels this particular job was unsuitable for scaffolding as there is a 1 metre pitched roof half way upthe house.
The Spider lift made short work of the track onto the flat drive but access to the panels was complicated by having two separate BT telephone cables running across the front of the house.
We skilfully used the boom to get above them, then using the fly jib we managed to gain good access to the solar panels, removing 9 of the 18 panels so the house owner can gain access for tile & felt repairs, we will return to replace them when repairs are completed.
The job time was approximately 2 hours from start to finish, the solar panel engineers agreed it would normally take longer using scaffolding, on balance the engineers agreed it was far safer & quicker using the spider lift.
